2B live on Chinese TV
FC Jumilla vs. La Hoya Lorca on paper looks just looks like another regular 2B (Spain's third tier) match. However today's game between Murcian bases sides was a game with a difference with the game being moved to the 30,000 capacity La Condomina stadium as 12,000 fans attended the early morning kick-off and the game beamed live to a Chinese television audience.
Shanghai derby
The game had been dubbed the Shanghai derby with Chinese magnates from the region controlling both clubs: Hui Tang-Li Xiang (Jumilla) and Xu Genbao (Lorca). The fans at the stadium were enticed by the lure of free breakfasts and a raffle that included a car as the bumper prize giveaway. Tablets and mobile phones were other incentives used as a lure to get people along to pack the stands.
