Emery: "Barça? We have the ability to go through"
The under-fire PSG boss was bullish about his side's chances of reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League at the expense of Enrique's side.
Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery is confident his side can progress to the last eight of the Champions League against Barcelona, the side that knocked the Ligue 1 giants out of the competition in both 2013 and 2015.
"Barça are well-known to us"
“I knew that there were various possibilities as to who would be drawn against and that all of the teams are of a very high level. Barcelona are well known to PSG, the coaching staff and myself. The important thing is that this is a game we want to win,” Emery said on Tuesday.
Emery has only once got the better of Barça during his coaching career but is confident of his side’s chances of beating the 2009, 2011 and 2015 champions.
“We will prepare ourselves to play two good games and we have the ability to go through. Both sides could win the tie. I’m not going to give a percentage as to the chances of one or the other, but I’m content to be playing Barcelona.”
