Zidane has his garden in order

Let them continue saying that it's all down to luck for Zinedine Zidane. Let them go on claiming that Madrid's run is all based on good fortune. All the while the team keeps winning and the trophy's keep accumulating for Real Madrid as Zizou grows in his position.

Endless supply of four leaf clovers

All this talk about the French coach having a string of four leaf clovers at his disposal warrants a reply of further investigation. If he does indeed have these talismanic clovers it's because he has worked his garden, planting seeds of hope combined with an ability to nurture his work and therein lies the secret at Valdebebas. It's Zizdane's common sense approach that others fail to grasp.

Under pressure

If Zidane had bowed down to surveys and external pressures then i'm convinced that the current Real Madrid team would not be current World Club Champions. If he had listened to those who have no medium or long term vision, then Karim Benzema wouldn't have even made the plane for Japan and Cristiano would have been substituted before the game went to extra-time, before the Portuguese striker popped up to seal the tie for Madrid with his extra time double. Zidane has stayed true to his principals and beliefs, keeping faith with Benzema, fully aware that the striker needs match practice to be able to really deliver on the field of play. To go back to my gardening analogy, as Guti once said, those who don't understand "can go off and collect poppies"
