No stopping the young at heart

At 38 years of age, the Juventus goalkeeper still feels strong and believes he can play on at the top level for some time to come. Speaking with Tuttosport, the Italian number one suggested that he can keep going until the statutory age of retirement forces him to quit:

"I don't feel old at 38," he said before asking, "will I leave the game in 10 or 15 years? Who knows, maybe I'll retire at 65".

An experienced head

Buffon also talked about how he has developed and become wiser with his experience:

“Defeats have taught me more than wins. When I lose, I usually focus on my mistakes and my opponent’s qualities. Excuses are no good. I’ve made several mistakes in my life, but I can recognise it. I am a human being and I have the right to make mistakes.”
