Former Real Madrid assistant coach Ángel Cappa has hit out at Bernabéu president Florentino Pérez, declaring he "has no idea about football".
Not impressed with Pérez's project at Real Madrid
Cappa worked under ex-Real head coach Jorge Valdano between 1994 and 1996, having also had a spell in the backroom team at arch rivals Barcelona in the 1980s.
And in an interview on Spanish TV, the Argentinian was fiercely critical of Pérez's stewardship of Los Blancos, despite the club's recent trophy successes.
"Florentino, among other things, has no idea about football," the 70-year-old told the channel NonStopPeople.
"Real Madrid don't have a footballing identity"
"Barcelona have had an identity for many years, but that's not the case at Real Madrid, because all they do is try to buy stars.
"Real Madrid have excellent players in every position, but they don't have a footballing identity. They buy players, change the coach, their playing style...
"They don't have an identity."
