Loan comes to an end

Alberto Brignoli's loan stint at Leganés came to an end today - pending the official word from the club, the Italian goalkeeper is set to complete his move back home to join Perugia, who will join on a similar loan deal from parent club Juventus. This morning, Brignoli didn't train with the squad but did show up to say his goodbyes. Later, at 2pm he took a flight to Italy, where he will spend the next six months at Serie B outfit, Perugia.

Leganés will release a statement once they receive confirmation from Juventus that they have recovered Brignoli, as they are the only ones who can transfer the player to another club. For that reason, Leganés still don't know whether new keeper Nereo Champagne will be able to take Brignoli's old No.1 jersey for Sunday's game at Betis, or whether he will have to play wearing the No.25.
