Real Madrid were the dominant club side as the FIFA FIFPro World11 2016 was announced at The Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony on Monday evening.

Five from Real Madrid, four from Barcelona

Five members of the 2016 Champions League winners were chosen as part of the all-star line-up - voted for by over 25,000 professional footballers from around the globe - which in total features no fewer than nine current LaLiga players.

Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo all take their places in the XI, with Barcelona foursome Gerard Piqué, Andrés Iniesta, Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez also selected.

No place for Griezmann

One notable absentee is Antoine Griezmann, who missed out on the ideal team despite a fantastic 2016 that saw him help Atlético Madrid and France to the finals of the Champions League and European Championship, respectively.
