Milan ask Everton about a loan deal for Gerard Deulofeu
The Italian newspaper explain that the Everton attacker is now a peripheral figure at the club and a loan deal could be possible.
AC Milan have sent an official request to Everton for the loan move of Gerard Deulofeu, with an option to make the move permanent, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Deulofeu, a player who learned his trade at Barcelona, has emerged as a primary target for Milan in the current transfer window, according to the report. Vincenzo Montella has decided to reinforce his wide players and is said to be keen on the Spanish attacker.
Deulofeu - A partly forgotten man at Everton
The Italian newspaper explain how Deulofeu has turned into a peripheral figure at the Merseyside club. He has played in just 11 games under Dutch manager Ronald Koeman, and he would be happy with the proposed switch.
The report also suggests that Everton have not given a definitive answer to los Rossoneri but that could change if Morgan Schneiderlin's future is solved, as it is expected to be, seeing him change the red of Manchester United for the blue of Everton in the coming days.
A change of style for Koeman
The arrival of the French midfielder would allow Koeman to readjust his tactical model, which would see Deulofeu become surplus to requirements.
If the deal did happen, Deulofeu could count compatriot Jesús Fernández Sáez, better known as Suso, as one of his teammates and would help a team looking to qualify for the Champions League.
