Alen Halilovic set for Las Palmas loan move, say Hamburg
The 20-year-old ex-Barcelona attacking midfielder appears close to sealing a temporary switch back to LaLiga with Los Amarillos.
Bundesliga side Hamburger SV have confirmed that ex-Barcelona midfielder Alen Halilovic is close to completing a loan move to LaLiga club UD Las Palmas.
Hamburg chief: "Transfer will take place shortly"
"The fact that Halilovic didn't participate in training today is a clear indication that the transfer will take place shortly," explained Hamburg president Heribert Bruchhagen on Thursday.
The 20-year-old joined Hamburg from Barça in a five-million-euro deal in the summer, with Los Azulgranas negotiating a two-year buy-back option on the player.
Gained LaLiga experience at Sporting in 2015/16
That switch came on the back of a productive temporary spell at LaLiga outfit Sporting Gijón last season, which saw him score three times in 36 league games.
Failed to make impact at Hamburg
However, the Croat has struggled to make his mark at the Volksparkstadion, making just six league appearances during the first half of the campaign.
