Doppelganger deadline day

French goalkeeper, Mouez Hassen signed for Premier League side Southampton FC a few hours before the end of the mid-season transfer window. The 21-year-old Frenchman joined manager and compatriot, Claude Puel, from Ligue 1 Nice on loan till the end of this season. A simple enough story, so why did this transfer cause a momentary stir?

Well, as pictures of the new signing circulated the web - a web full of transfer sites - there were some Madrid fans who had to take a second look and then check the details of the story. Hassen is a doppelganger for Los Blancos' defender Sergio Ramos.

Don't I know you from somewhere?

And it's not the first time that there has been confusion about the whereabouts of the man from Seville due to the likeness of others. At the end of 2015, an employee at the Mercadona supermarket chain in Tenerife posted a picture of himself to Twitter.

At the time Ramos engaged with the tweet and had some fun confirming to his followers that he had not recently signed for Mercadona.
