Outstanding debts

Iker Muniain missed last month's Copa del Rey tie at Camp Nou through injury but the striker is expected to start Saturday's game against Barcelona and told Movistar+'s Minuto 0 programme that Athletic Club “have a score to settle at Camp Nou”.

Muniain says he watched last night's Copa semi-final between Atlético de Madrid and Barcelona. “It was a very intense game and very evenly-balanced; Barcelona clinched it with two flashes of quality from two of their great players. In the second half, Atlético pressed them and had Barça up against ropes”, Muniain said.

Athletic Club hard at work today

Athletic have lost their last 12 league visits to Camp Nou

The forward know how difficult it is for visiting teams to take anything away from Camp Nou and you have to go all the way back to February 1994 for Athletic's last league win there. “It's a very complicated away trip - one of the most difficult. We'll need to be at 200 per cent because, if not, you are going to get thrashed. Let's hope we can break our jinx, in LaLiga we have an outstanding debt at Camp Nou”.
