Barcelona have confirmed that Javier Mascherano suffered a hamstring injury in Tuesday's Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Atlético Madrid.
Injured in sub appearance against Atlético
The Argentine, who came on as a second-half substitute as Barça sealed their place in the cup final, picked up the problem in the closing stages at the Camp Nou.
In a medical report issued on Wednesday, the club did not specify how long he'll be out for, stating only that his return "will depend on his recovery".
Out of Champions League first leg
However, all the indications are that Mascherano will sit out this Saturday's LaLiga clash at Alavés, Tuesday's Champions League last-16 first leg with Paris Saint-Germain and the league game at home to Leganés the following Sunday.
The 32-year-old's involvement in Los Azulgranas' LaLiga match away to Atlético on 26 February also appears in doubt.
