LaLiga files lawsuit against 10 Rayo fans after Zozulya fiasco
The lawsuit leaves open the opportunity to include more people who were videotaped intimidating and insulting Roman Zozulya as he arrived at Rayo Vallecano training.
LaLiga has released a statement on Thursday which outlined their intention to file a criminal complaint against 10 Rayo Vallecano fans, who LaLiga claim caused Roman Zozulya to reconsider playing for the Segunda division side after his loan from Real Betis on the last day of the transfer window.
The statement reads: "Eight of the people who the complaint was filed against were identified in the Ciudad Deportivo de Rayo Vallecano (Rayo Vallecano's training complex) after invading the training session. This coincided with the arrival of Roman Zozulya, where the player was insulted by those present. The other two gave a press conference on February fifth, supposedly representing the fans of Rayo Vallecano."
More Rayo fans to be sued?
Notwithstanding, the lawsuit presented by LaLiga leaves open the opportunity to extend the same to anybody responsible for the same thing as the other 10 who the complaint was filed against and to those who participated in the alleged incidents that were said to be caught on camera at the opening training session with several media outlets and cameras around.
