Haven't been kept out since last April

The last time Real fired a blank was in April 2016, in a goalless draw with Manchester City in the sides' Champions League semi-final first leg.

The league leaders are now just five off Barcelona's Spanish record of scoring in 44 straight fixtures, set between the 1942/43 and 1943/44 campaigns.

Almost reached record five years ago

Madrid came close to the mark under José Mourinho in 2011/12, but saw their streak cut short at 41 matches after a 0-0 stalemate with Valencia in April 2012.

Real also managed 41 in a row under previous coaches Leo Beenhakker and Juan Antonio Ipiña.
