Gareth Bale is set to make his Real Madrid comeback against Espanyol on Saturday after three months out with an ankle injury.
The Welshman returned to full training last week and only narrowly missed out on being named in the Madrid squad to face Napoli in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Place on the bench likely
Zinedine Zidane did not want to take any unnecessary risks in rushing Bale back too soon for that match, however the 27-year old rejoined the rest of the squad for training on Thursday morning, and everything now points to a return this weekend.
If indeed Bale does make it into the match day squad for the visit of ninth-place Espanyol to the Bernabéu on Saturday afternoon (16:15 CET), he will likely start on the bench.
