Port goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, could decide his future this weekend if he plays in the next game against Tondela. He could trigger a clause in his contract that would give him the option to renew for a year if he reaches a certain number of appearences. He told El Transistor radio show that, "my intention is to stay another year. I think that is the intention of the club too."

Casillas' decision

The former Real Madrid shot-stopper intends to continue at his new club, unless an offer comes in that he can not refuse. He is the one in control of his future, "I can decide if I stay or not," he said. The top brass at the club are keen to not force him into a move and have given him plenty of time to decide what he wants to do. "The president agreed with me that I only have to let them know a month and a half before the contract ends."

He has played every minute for Porto this season and has conceded just 15 goals, keeping a clean sheet in 16 of those games. Casillas' form this season has been so good that Julian Lopetegui has not ruled out his return.
