Taking no risks

Nacho Fernández should not have any problems making the squad list for Wednesday's rescheduled Week 16 meeting with Valencia at Mestalla. The Real Madrid defender was brought off with 10 minutes of normal time remaining in yesterday's game against Espanyol. He had been suffering minor fitness problems all of last week and was replaced by Marcelo merely as a precaution.

A ok

Tests conducted today have not detected anything untoward and Nacho should be declared fit for Wednesday's game - the first of Madrid's two games in hand, and one which was rearranged to accomodate Madrid appearance in December's FIFA Club World Cup.
