Barcelona-Paris Saint-Germain: Neymar's night

It was without doubt Neymar's greatest night as a Barcelona player. One on which, finally, the Brazilian truly marked himself out as Leo Messi's heir.

He put in a sensational display throughout at the Camp Nou, but his magical evening will above all be remembered for ten minutes in which he almost single-handedly changed the course of the Champions League last-16 tie.

Passionate yet calm Neymar proves instrumental

So often criticised for offering more style than substance, Neymar went for the jugular. He got Barça back into it with his free-kick that made it 4-1.

The 25-year-old forward allied passion with sang froid: he held his nerve to net the fifth from the spot, whipped up the crowd after converting - then, with time almost up, kept his calm to deliver the killer pass for Sergi Roberto's winner.

And he was rewarded for being the player who most believed, who never lost faith in Barça's comeback prospects, with the man of the match award.

Neymar's magical 549 seconds - how they unfolded:

85:30: Volleys towards goal with his left, Serge Aurier blocking the effort and sending it behind for a corner. Neymar himself takes the corner, and, after several deflections, is back in shooting territory on the edge of the box.

86:45: Ángel Di María fouls him on the edge of the penalty area.

87:28: Messi doesn't even make his way over to take the free-kick, leaving Neymar to stand over it - and curl his effort past Kevin Trapp and into the top corner.

90:09: Coolly buries the penalty won by Luis Suárez to make it 5-1 and leave Barcelona needing one more goal to qualify.

91:00: Seeks out Roberto with a backheel, but the ball goes out for a throw-in.

92:00: After flicking the ball over Aurier, play is stopped by referee Deniz Aytekin to allow PSG substitute Grzegorz Krychowiak. A frustrated Neymar boots the ball in the direction of the fourth official.

93:00: Draws a foul from Aurier, brought on by PSG head coach Unai Emery to look to contain Neymar.

94:39: Delivers a last-gasp free-kick that rebounds back to him, at which point the striker has the presence of mind to cut inside Marco Verratti and dink a chipped pass through to Roberto, who scores the winner.
