Piqué doesn't train after Saint Denis storm
Busquets, Iniesta, Jordi Alba, Umtiti, Cillessen, André Gomes were back ahead of Granada match, Messi, Neymar, and Suárez will return on Friday.
Gerard Piqué did not train with his Barcelona team-mates on Thursday, following the storm that his comments in the Saint Denis mixed zone provoked.
The central defender, who impressed for Spain in the recent matches against Israel and France, instead worked in the gym ahead of Barça’s visit to Granada this weekend.
Spain team-mates trained
Piqué's national team companions Sergio Busquets, Andrés Iniesta, and Jordi Alba all trained at the club’s Sant Joan Despí training ground. Umtiti, Cillessen, and André Gomes also took part ahead of a frenetic period in Barça’s fixture list. The Champions League clash with Juventus, as well a crucial Clásico at the Bernabéu, loom on the horizon.
Messi, Suárez, Neymar return Friday
Messi, Neymar, and Suárez should rejoin training on Friday, giving them two days to prepare for the match in Granada. Messi did not take part in Argentina’s 2-0 loss to Bolivia in La Paz, as he was banned at the eleventh hour by FIFA for insulting an official after Argentina beat Chile in Buenos Aires.
