Klopp's Liverpool, the latest to join the queue for James
The Merseysiders' interest in James is only relatively recent but some outlets in England claim that Liverpool would be willing to splash out 75 million euros for the player. The only condition would be that Jürgen Klopp's team qualifies for the Champions League next season - a requirement which isn't guaranteed - Liverpool occupy fourth place but Manchester United, who are four points behind have two games in hand and City, who are one point ahead have one game in hand. Even if they do secure a fourth-place finish, Liverpool would still have to negotiate August's Play-offs to book their return to the competition.
James' eternal suitors
Chelsea and Real Madrid are sure to feature intensely in this summer's rumour mill. Los Blancos have their hearts set on Courtois and Hazard while the Blues are equally as keen on Morata and James. The midfielder could be used as a counterweight in one such operation. He was linked to Stamford Bridge last winter but Chelsea were not willuing to stump up the 70 million euro asking price.
James has long been on Inter's wants list - he would certainly have a high profile role within the side should he opt for a move to the Serie A giants. In Milan, he would be the big Nerazzurra star in the Suning project. A recent meeting between Suning president Zhang Jindong and Florentino Pérez only added fuel to the speculation in Italy. Back in November, Inter sent scouts to Lisbon to take another look at James in the game against Sporting Clube.
James was linked with a move to Old Trafford last season and according to reports coming out of England, the player is back on United's agenda. Jorge Mendes would be the link in any potential operation - the player and José Mourinho are his clients.
Ancelotti, a fan of James
In the Bundesliga, James would find just what he is searching for under Zidane - regular playing time. And it was under Carlo Ancelotti that James produced his bet football for Real Madrid. He was a undisputed first choice under the Italian, only injury forced him to miss a dozen or so games.
