Barcelona old boy forced to cut pleasantries short
Alves, who left Barça for Juve last summer, had made his way over to the bench to exchange pleasantries with his ex-colleagues ahead of the Camp Nou clash.
Unaware Alves wasn't on the pitch, referee Bjorn Kuipers got the last-eight second leg underway - prompting the defender to hastily scamper back on and into position.
Fortunately for the Brazilian, Vecchia Signora team-mate Juan Cuadrado had noticed his absence and dropped deep to cover until he joined the play.
Juventus defend first-leg advantage to progress
The match ended goalless to see Juve, who had come into the return in Catalonia leading 3-0 from the opening leg, book their place in the semi-finals.
