Update:
Jesé: "Griezmann isn't good enough to play for Real Madrid"

Jesé Rodríguez shared his thoughts on the possibility of Atlético's Antoine Griezmann playing for Real Madrid at some point in the future. The former Real Madrid player, who is currently on loan at Las Palmas from PSG believes that the French forward would struggle to hold down a place at Real Madrid "because there are a lot of players who are better than him at Real Madrid".

Would you ever consider playing for Atlético de Madrid?

In football, you never really know where you might end up but in my case, I don't think so. I've always been a Real Madrid fan, I developed as a player there, it's the club which gave me everything and for whom I have 100% respect.

Do you think Antoine Griezmann would fit in at Real Madrid?

No. Because there are a lot of players who are better than him in the team.

Do you think Atlético will have their minds on Tuesday's Champions League semi-final rather than tomorrow's league game against Las Palmas?

Well, maybe a little, but I think Atleti need to win this game to be up there among the top sides in the league and not lose ground on the leaders. To be honest, I only really think about my team and I'm sure we can beat them at our ground.

Do you think Atlético will have more chances of beating Real Madrid this time?

I don't know. For me, Real Madrid are the kings of the Champions League, they are a very strong side, and I think that over two legs, Madrid are very stronmg. But at the end of the day it's football and a lot of things could happen. Every game is a world in itself - we'll see what happens in both games.

Do you think Atlético deserve to be crowned champions of Europe?

Well, it's clear that they're reaching finals, I was lucky enough to be in that situation and win two Champions Leagues and being in a similar position but not winning is tough to take and quite sad. Can they win the Champions League for reaching the final? Of course they can but I'd prefer Real Madrid to win.

What do you think of the nickname you have been given ‘El Bichito’(The Little Devil)?

Yes, I got that nickname years ago and everyone used to call me that - even Cristiano, so… I quite like it, I think it's funny.

Do you see any similarities between your game and Cristiano Ronaldo's?

I don't like comparing myself with anyone, I think every player has qualities of their own, different characteristics and all players are not the same. Obviously, it is very nice to be compared to someone like Cristiano, I'm not going to deny it, but I don't really like being compared to other footballers.

Roque Mesa: "Atlético is a top team where players have the chance to succeed"

You have been linked to Atlético de Madrid; do you see yourself at Atleti at some point?

You always set new goals and challenges, personal objectives, and Atlético de Madrid is a top side. You never know in football. Right now I am a Las Palmas player and I will to do my best for my club. We'll see what the future holds... if an offer arrived of course I would study it.
