Atlético Madrid striking targets: Vardy, Alexis, Diego Costa?
Leicester's Jamie Vardy and Arsenal's Alexis Sánchez are said to be in Atleti's sights, with an attempt to lure Costa also mooted. Atlético vs Real Madrid
As they wait to find out whether the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will overturn their FIFA transfer ban, Atlético Madrid chiefs are making sure they're ready for the summer window if the body finds in the LaLiga outfit's favour.
Vardy, Alexis to join Atlético?
The Independent says Jamie Vardy and Alexis Sánchez are in Los Colchoneros' sights, with head coach Diego Simeone said to have been "greatly impressed" by the Leicester City striker in the Foxes' Champions League quarter-final against Atlético.
Costa had been keen on an Atlético reunion last summer, but the deal did not come to fruition and the 28-year-old forward has even indicated that he feels he was left high and dry by the powers that be at the Spanish capital club.
The option of signing Alexis from Arsenal appears complicated as the Chilean also has suitors in Italy and the Premier League itself who can offer him big money - so England's Vardy might well be the most feasible capture of the three.
