Coutinho flattered by Barcelona interest
Liverpool player Philippe Coutinho admitted that 'it's great' to be the subject of Barça's interest, but he remains focussed on securing Champions League football.

Rumours linking Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho with a move to Barcelona have gathered pace in recent weeks. His manager, Jürgen Klopp, has given assurances this he will not be sold in the summer transfer window, yet Coutinho admitted in an interview with ESPN Brazil that he is flattered by the interest from Catalonia.
Barcelona interest flatters Coutinho
“Barça are one of the best teams in the world. No contact has been made with me so far. If contact is made, my manager will handle it. What I have to do is concentrate on what the pitch”, Coutinho said.
“I’m happy in the knowledge that a big club is interested in me, it’s great. It’s recognition of my work, and I have to keep working hard”, he continued.

Liverpool keen to keep him
For the moment, the 24-year-old wants to concentrate on securing Champions League football for Liverpool next season. He signed a 5-year contract at Anfield in January 2017.
