Update:
Gerard Piqué: "It'd be nice if Buffon won the Ballon d'Or"

Gerard Piqué chatted about some of the current topics in the world of sport with Mediaset Italia-produced programme Pomeriggio Cinque this evening. One of the upcoming events which the Barça defender spoke about was next month's Champions League final between Juventus and Real Madrid and this year's Ballon d'Or which he feels should go to Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.  "It'd be nice if Buffon wins the Ballon d'Or. He's won the league the Cup and now he has the chance to win the Champions League. He deserves it for the career he's had, for the season he and Juve have enjoyed and because it would be nice if another goalkeeper wins it after [Lev] Yashin".

Piqué would like to see Buffon and Alves crowned champions in Cardiff

Champions League final: "It'll be a game between two great teams. Juventus have been doing well for a number of years now and they have great players like Buffon, who really want to win this trophy for the first time and Dani Alves, our old team mate and it'd be nice to see him win it".

Key to beating Real Madrid: "We did it through possession and trying to stop them from hitting us on the counter-attack but Juventus will use different tactics. Defensivelt, they are the strongest side at the moment - as they showed in both of their games against us in which we couldn't even score a goal".

Juventus: "They are still strong even when they make changes to the side. Last year they lost Pogba, before that Pirlo and now Dybala but they still manage"

Messi: "Who could win the Ballon d'Or? Messi is the best player in the world and the best player in history. This year he will win the Golden Shoe for being the top goal scorer and he deserves to win the Ballon d'Or again".

Piqué, no plans to move elsewhere

Future: "I'm very happy at Barcelona, it's my lifelong club and I want to continue playing for Barça. My idea is to end my playing career at Barcelona. I love Italy and I like Italian football but the love I have for Barcelona is very big. Maybe if I was younger and not had the career I've had at Barça, I might have given given Italian football a try, but right now I can't see myself anywhere other than Barcelona".
