Griezmann: "If I have to change team, there'll be no problem"

Antoine Griezmann has made some curious statements about his future to French newspaper L’Èquipe.
On Monday, the Atlético Madrid striker said that the likelihood of him moving to Manchester United was six out of ten, while the likelihood of him remaining at Atleti was seven out of ten.
On Tuesday, Griezmann admitted that he is prepared to leave the club.
Griezmann: Atlético need to impress with transfers
The Frenchman stated that “I want to win trophies next season… If I have to change my team, there won’t be a problem. It could be England, Germany, China, the USA…”
A decision to remain at Atlético, who bid farewell to the Vicente Calderón on Sunday with a victory over Athletic Club, would be dependent on ‘transfers’.
“With Atlético I have been in a final and two semi-finals of the Champions League. We’re close, but we’re missing something. Let’s see what the club does, it will depend on the transfers.”
There are strong reports that Alexandre Lacazette is lining up a move to Atlético, following strong encouragement by his compatriot Griezmann. Yet any transfer activity will be dependent on the club's FIFA-imposed transfer ban being overturned.
Atleti remain calm
The leadership at Atlético will not be flustered by Griezmann’s comments. From within the club, there is an understanding that the striker’s future will be at the Wanda Metropolitano. Indeed, he has made this known to the club.
Griezmann’s agents have already spoken to the club with a view to extending the striker’s contract, with the inclusion of a €100 million release clause. That release clause could be one of the bones of contention as negotiations progress.
Ultimately, the club believe that Griezmann is playing a negotiation game.
