Juventus Champions League final news: Buffon, Ramos, the BBCs

With the big day in Cardiff just days away, AS English brings you a daily round-up of the goings-on as Juve prepare to play Real Madrid.

Juventus Champions League final news: Buffon, Ramos, the BBCs

There are less than a handful of days now until Uefa's club showpiece tournament final between Juventus and Real Madrid. Here's some of the latest news surrounding the preparations and points of interest from the Juve camp.

Nedved, Del Piero and Davids help good causes

Tuesday evening saw a capacity crowd pile into the Juventus Stadium for the ‘Partita del Cuore’ exhibition match. The two teams taking part were the 'National Singers' - featuring the likes of Alessandro Del Piero and Edgar Davids - and the 'Champions of Research' - with Pavel Nedved and current manager, Massimiliano Allegri. The club's website has a full report including mention of a hat-trick for F1 star, Kimi Raikkonen.

Casillas' conflict: Buffon or Madrid

The Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas, who is expected to leave Porto this summer, would have wanted Gianluigi Buffon to win this Saturday so that he secured the Champions League trophy his career deserves. Only one problem: the Juventus keeper is up against Iker's boyhood team.

Ramos lavishes praise on "legend" Buffon

"Buffon is a legend and he will be remembered as one of the best goalkeepers in the history of football," those were the words of Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos on Tuesday.

"He is an example for anyone who wants to live and experience this sport and he has shown that age has been no barrier."

Gianluigi Buffon, 39, is aiming to win Europe's top club competition for the first time when Juve face Madrid in the decider in Cardiff on Saturday.

And finally...BBC1 vs BBC2

In Spain the attacking BBC acronym for Real Madrid's Bale, Benzema and Cristiano has been well used. But, and this clearly is in doubt due to fitness questions, did you know that they could be up against Juventus' very own BBC? Berzagli, Bonucci and Chiellini have proved themselves to be one of the best defensive units around.

So, will we see BBC1 against BBC2 on Saturday?...and which of them will tune in best?
