Liverpool close in on Salah as agent gives the go ahead
Roma rejected an initial bid of €32m for Mohamed Salah, yet Klopp is moving closer to getting his man as the Egyptian's agent gives the 'thumbs up'.
Mohamed Salah’s fine season has not gone unnoticed by Jurgen Klopp, and the Liverpool manager has his sights firmly set on the Egyptian winger.
Salah's agent gives 'yes' to Liverpool
Klopp wants Salah to become Liverpool’s first major signing of the summer, and to that end, negotiations with AS Roma began last week. The Italian club rejected an initial offer of €32m.
An agreement has not yet been reached, but discussions have moved forward. Liverpool have already received a ‘yes’ from the player’s agent. Yet negotiations appear to be difficult. Naturally, Roma will not make it easy, given the impressive season that Salah has had.
Klopp prepares €40m bid
Liverpool are preparing an offer of €40m, a figure that should be sufficient to close the deal. It certainly will not be easy for Roma to keep hold of the winger, who scored 15 goals in Serie A.
