Paris Saint-Germain's sights are set on beating off the competition of Real Madrid and signing teenage sensation Kylian Mbappé this summer, according to L'Équipe.

PSG sporting director in contact with Mbappé camp

The newspaper says PSG's new sporting director, Antero Henrique, is out to start his tenure at the Parc des Princes with a bang - and that one of his first moves has been to make contact with the Monaco forward's camp to sound out a switch to the French capital.

L'Équipe adds that the good relations between Monaco and PSG could pave the way for a meeting of the two Ligue 1 clubs to take place in the coming days.

The 18-year-old, who this term helped Monaco to beat PSG to the French title, as well as starring in the side's run to the Champions League semi-finals, has been a Real target for a number of months, with Los Blancos so far tabling bids of 100m and 115m euros and reportedly set to make a third offer of 135m.

Monaco not up for selling this summer

However, Monaco are not keen on selling Mbappé this summer, and are due for talks with the player and his advisers over his future. This week, Le Parisien claimed that the France international will use the meeting to inform the Principality outfit of his wish to stay on for another campaign.

With the World Cup coming up next year, Mbappé is keen to ensure he's playing first-team football week in, week out - although, when asked about the possibility of more restricted game time at a bigger club, he appeared unfazed, replying: "Why would I play less? [...] I'm not afraid."
