Monchi's Roma and Schalke pursuing Betis' Riza Durmisi
The Danish defender is one of the most sought-after players in the Verdiblanco squad and has caught the eye of clubs in England, Germany and Italy.
As the transfer rumour mill wildly continues to churn out whisperings in the world of football, reports coming out of Italy claim that Roma's Director of Sport and former Sevillista Monchi is preparing a raid for Betis full-back Riza Durmisi. A few weeks ago, the Italians were rumoured to be interested in Betis' Argentine centre-back Germán Pezzella and now it seems they have their sights set on Danish left-back Durmisi, who was one of the Verdiblancos' star players last season.
Roma and Schalke eyeing Betis left-back Durmisi
According to Forza Roma, Monchi has Durmisi on his agenda for the left-back position although as his third or fourth option. Betis have known for a few weeks that Schalke 04 are interested in the player but the German side has yet to make a firm offer. Claims that Galatasaray had tabled a 12 million euro bid for the defender were denied by both clubs last week.
Durmisi's buy-out clause is 20 million euros and Betis would not be willing to listen to offers of less than eight million for him. .
