Verratti hires Mino Raiola after parting ways with his agent
The Italian midfielder will put an end to speculation about a move to Barcelona by signing a new contract at PSG. His previous agent was Donato Di Campli.
The waters around Marco Verratti appear to be calming, much to the delight of Paris Saint Germain.
Verratti to sign new PSG contract
The Italian midfielder was heavily linked to a move to Barcelona earlier in the summer, but it appears that he will remain in France.
Verratti is primed to sign a new contract at the club, which will significantly improve his current deal. According to L’Équipe, PSG have stipulated that this will only happen if Verratti breaks relations with his agent, Donato Di Campli.
Mino Raiola hired as agent
Verratti has already announced on his Instagram account that he has parted company with Di Campli, and hired Mino Raiola in his place.
PSG hold Di Campli responsible for turning Verratti’s head towards Catalonia this summer. He also referred to Verratti as a 'prisoner of the Emir' in a startling attack, for which Verratti had to apologise.
The Parisians, by contrast, are on good terms with Raiola, who also represents Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Blaise Matuidi, among others.
