Benzema congratulates Mariano for bagging a brace on his Lyon debut
Real Madrid's French striker posted a message on Twitter for his ex-team mate: "A brace, welcome, well done".

Karim Benzema was quick to congratulate Mariano for his superb performance on his league debut for Olympique Lyon. The former Real Madrid striker scored twice as Lyon cruised to a confortable 4-0 win over Strasbourg on the opening day of Ligue 1.

Benzema, who was born in Lyon and came through the club's youth ranks, was thrilled for his old Madrid team mate and congratulated him on Twitter: "A double, welcome and well done!".
