Pastore explains why he ceded his No.10 shirt to Neymar
The Argentinean said he had no problems about giving up his squad number. "I knew that his arrival was very important for the club and that he likes the number 10".
Javier Pastore decided to give up his number 10 shirt he has worn with Paris Saint-Germain since last season and hand it to new signing Neymar Junior. After PSG's 2-0 win over Amiens on the opening day of Ligue 1 this weekend, the Argentinean explained why he chose to give up his squad number.

Pastore happy to give Neymar his squad number
"I knew that Neymar's arrival was important for the club. I also knew that he really likes the number 10. He spoke to be beforehand about all of this. It was no big deal for me to give him the No.10. I'm just as happy taking back my old number 27. Last season I only played about 15 games wearing the number 10. It's a change - let's hope it makes us better", he explained.
