Diego Costa completes first full training session with Atlético
Simeone's players put in one final workout ahead of tomorrow's trip to Leganés. Filipe Luis is ruled out with a muscular injury and Lucas trained apart as a precaution.
Atlético put in one final training session at el Cerro del Espino in preparation for tomorrow's league trip to Leganés. The big news of the morning was the sight of Diego Costa training with his team mates for the first time. The striker completed the full session - starting with the warm-up exercises and then ball work drills. He look completely at ease with his new team mates, some of whom he alreadys knows from his first spell at the club.
Profe Ortega puts Costa through his paces
Costa started work as an Atleti player on Wednesday, training apart from the group in the gym. On Thursday he trained out in the open air but again, apart from the squad. Following a strict fitness regime designed by Profe Ortega, Costa has three months to get himself back into shape.
Filipe Luis to miss Leganés trip
Elsewhere, Filipe Luis was absent from the session - he is ruled out of tomorrow's match after suffering a Grade I injury to his left hamstring; he will also miss Brazil's forthcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Chile. Also missing from today's workout was his deputy Lucas. He trained inside the gym as a precaution but if he isn't declared fit to play against Leganés, Simeone will have to improvise by fielding either Vrsaljko, Sergi or Giménez at left-back.
