Profe Ortega puts Costa through his paces
Costa started work as an Atleti player on Wednesday, training apart from the group in the gym. On Thursday he trained out in the open air but again, apart from the squad. Following a strict fitness regime designed by Profe Ortega, Costa has three months to get himself back into shape.
Filipe Luis to miss Leganés trip
Elsewhere, Filipe Luis was absent from the session - he is ruled out of tomorrow's match after suffering a Grade I injury to his left hamstring; he will also miss Brazil's forthcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Chile. Also missing from today's workout was his deputy Lucas. He trained inside the gym as a precaution but if he isn't declared fit to play against Leganés, Simeone will have to improvise by fielding either Vrsaljko, Sergi or Giménez at left-back.
