Amiens vs Lille called off after barrier collapses as fans celebrate goal

The barrier broke at Stade de la Licorne after Fode Ballo had given Lille the lead and the fans rushed to the front of the away section to celebrate.

The Ligue 1 game between Amiens and Lille has been called off after a barrier broke in front of fans celebrating a goal by Lille. The game was just 15 minutes old when Fode Ballo gave Marcelo Bielsa's side the lead. They rushed to the front of the away end and the barrier collapsed with the fans landing on each other.

Initial reports suggest that several fans have been injured. Sky News report that French emergency services said 18 fans are injured with three of them in serious condition. A tweet from hosts Amiens confirmed that the game would not restart.
