Nolito hails the "great affinity" within the Sevilla squad
The winger spoke about his first few weeks with Sevilla and Berizzo's rotation policy: "We're all pushing in the same direction, whoever plays".
Nolito sat down to chat about his first few weeks at Sevilla with the club's television channel today and said that settling in has been easy for him due to the great camaraderie among the players: "There's a great atmosphere here at Sevilla and an affinity among the players; you can really notice that out on the pitch", Nolito explained. "That's been the key to all of the trophies which this team has won in recent years. We respect one another, and that includes the players who share the same position. Here, we all are pushing in the same direction - regardless of who gets to play".
Playing at the Pizjuán: "Playing in front of a packed stadium motivates you. It's an amazing experience to play at our ground".
Nolito, man of the people
Relationship with the fans: "I have always appreciated what I have and before being a footballer, it's important to remember that you are a person. That's how it is going to be when our playing days are over, it doesn't cost anything to be friendly with the public. One day, we will miss all of this - playing football for a living. For me, I see being a professional footballer as a temporary, short-term job".
Great times in Vigo
Time at Celta: "I felt really loved in Vigo. My twin daughters are Galician, they were born there; I was happy when I was playing for Celta. Barcelona? Celta asked them to pay the buy-out clause which was 18 million euros and Barça didn't have the money. I told Celta that I would accept whatever decision they decided to take".
Nolito chuckled recalling a humourous anecdote about when he played under Luis Enrique for Barcelona's B team: "He'd come to work on his bike and he looked like he'd just completed a triathlon... I was a bit scared of him!".
