Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga continues his crusade against finanical doping and state-backed football clubs and has PSG in his crosshairs once again. After sending a letter to UEFA to complain about PSG's lack of respect for Financial Fair Play, which caused the governing body to open an investigation, Tebas spoke in an interview with L'Equipe about the "economic tricks" the French club are doing to cheat the rules.

PSG had previously kept their counsel on the matter but this time they have issued a rebuttal. It was Nasser Al Khelaifi who responded, according to French publication foot01.com. "We will not respond to every defamatory declarations by Mr. Tebas or the false accusations in the majority of what he says, as they are just trying to manipulate the media as he tries to undermine the ambitious project at Paris Saint Germain."

"They lament the fact that Ligue 1 brought one of the three best players in the world this summer (Neymar) and also have one of the great hopes of French football (Mbappé). We believe that Spanish football has other priorities that they should focus on rather than PSG's accounts, which were perfectly balanced in 2016-17," he continued.

Al Khaleifi finished with a stinger, "We will not enter a debate with Mr. Tebas to look at how some of football's biggest powers maintained or assumed their dominance over the last 20 years, despite the fact that, at the time, they caused plenty of controversy."
