Juventus present commemorative shirt for 120-year anniversary
The Italian giants have revealed a limited edition shirt that will debut on Sunday 5 November. In place of the usual crest there are three stars, one for each 10 league titles.
Juventus turn 120 years old this year and have designed a commemorative shirt to celebrate the occasion. With links back to the years since they were founded in 1897, the shirt is a classic.
Juventus 120 years
Three stars have replaced where the crest would normally be seen - one star for every ten league titles they have won (they have actually won 33 excluding those removed after the scandal that saw them demoted in 2006). The shirt went on sale to the public but quickly sold out despite the 189.70 euro price tag chosen to reflect the year founded.
The black and white Old Lady
The rest of the shirt design is kept to the simple thick black and white stripes that have categorised the Vecchia Signora. Even the manufacturers and sponsors have had their name prominance reduced within the black area of the strip.
Sunday's game is against Benevento at the Juventus Stadium, 15:00 CET kick off.
