Images of Luigi Mangione were projected at a Disney-themed concert
A DJ at a Disney-themed party went viral after projecting photos of Luigi Mangione during his set. Here’s how the audience reacted.

The celebrity of Luigi Mangione, the man suspected of shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, continues to reach new heights. Mangione, 26, was arrested at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on December 9, 2024. Fake IDs, a US passport, a gun with 3D-printed parts, a silencer, and a handwritten manifesto that widely criticized the health insurance industry make him the primary person of interest in the case.
The response with the public has shocked many in the media who see praise of Mangione as endorsing the use of violence against one’s political enemies. Nevertheless, support for the former Ivy League student is undeniable. It reflects the state of a public that has become desensitized to gun violence, strapped with a historic burden of medical debt, and a Congress that rarely passes legislation that improves their material well-being, let alone access to healthcare.
Images of Mangione appear at a Boston party
The organizers of Bob to the Bop, a popular music party where DJs play Disney Channel hits, have gone viral after projecting images of the young man during the ‘Jingle Bop’ recital, held on Friday night in Boston, Massachusetts. To be clear, the event is not associated with Disney.
Images of Mangione played across the big screen as the DJ played “He Could Be The One” by Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus). The photos sent the crowd into a frenzy, and the cheers just kept coming.
“Give the people what they want,” the DJ said as Mangione’s footage was uploaded. The moment was captured by a TikTok user. So far, the video has more than 7 million views and 1.4 million likes.
Donations to Mangione‘s legal defense surpass $100,000
His physical appearance and the possible motives for his actions have made him an icon on social media. Since his arrest, more than $100,000 has been raised to cover his legal expenses, though one of his lawyers, Thomas Dickey, said that he would be uncomfortable taking the money.
Mangione is currently being held without bail at the Huntingdon State Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania, where he is charged with weapons and forgery offenses. He is awaiting extradition to New York, where he faces murder charges.
