Neymar spoke to the press after Brazil’s 3-1 victory over Japan on Friday and discussed his move to PSG, rumours of a rift with his coach, Unai Emery and the relationship he has with Edinson Cavani in declarations published by Brazilian daily O Globo.

“I’m, fine, happy, motivated and satisfied,” the world’s most expensive transfer said. “I am a player who gives everything on the pitch. Everything that is being said is annoying me because people are inventing a bunch of stories that are not true. I don’t have a problem with Cavani, I don’t have a problem with the coach and I came [to PSG] with his backing. I want to be happy, I didn’t come to annoy anybody, so I ask that these stories stop. I know what my importance to the team is and what my role in the side is,” Neymar said.

Neymar: "It is easier if people hear it from me"

“I am not angry, I came out here of my own will to say what I am thinking. I am a realist, I do not enjoy stirring up stories… I am speaking from the viewpoint of someone who is uncomfortable with people thinking they know everything when they don’t. That’s why it is easier if they hear it straight from me. I don’t have any problem at PSG, what unsettles me is the pressure the press create. I am a person who likes to win, I like winning titles and that’s why I came to PSG. I’m happy; I was happy when I was at Barcelona and I’m happy now.”
