Germany midfielder Julian Draxler has denied rumours that he is looking for a Swift exit from PSG after signing for the Ligue 1 club last January from Wolfsburg for a fee of 40 million euros.

Speaking ahead of Germany’s match against France in Cologne, Draxler stated that he is happy where he is: “I’m not looking to leave PSG, not in the January market or next summer,” the 24-year-old said. “We’re in the middle of the season and I’m concentrating on the titles that we are involved in competing for.”

Draxler has found his chances limited at the Parc des Princes after the summer arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, starting seven times in Ligue 1 but completing the 90 on only three occasions while mostly operating from the bench in Europe.

That has led to several clubs expressing an interest in the midfielder, who signed a contract with PSG up to 2021. Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is a firm admirer of his compatriot and Bayern Munich consider Draxler a viable replacement for 34-year-old Franck Ribéry, who is injured at the moment and in the final year of his contract at the Allianz Arena.

“It’s not a good moment to think about my future in the short or long-term,” Draxler said. “Although obviously the Bundesliga is always an interesting option.”
