Piqué delays Leganés trip for "personal motives”
The club clarified that the centre-back is in the squad list and will fly down to Madrid tomorrow morning. Aleix Vidal makes his return.
Gerard Piqué won't be traveling down to Madrid with the rest of the Barcelona squad this evening but he will play in tomorrow's league game against Leganés. Barça put an asterisk next to Piqué's name in the squad list for the match and explained that the defender will be making his own way down to the capital tomorrow, when he will join up with the squad at the Eurostars hotel. "Gerard Piqué will not travel with the team for personal motives. The player will join up with the team in Madrid early tomorrow morning", the club explained.
Vidal in the list, Arda omitted
El Barça also confirmed in a medical report that Aleix Vidal, who has been experiencing discomfort to his ankle during the past few weeks, now has the medical all-clear. Ernesto Valverde has aincluded the defender in his 18-man list for the Leganés game. Arda Turan, however, has once again been excluded as have Mascherano, Sergi Roberto and André Gomes as well as long-term casualties Dembélé and Rafinha.
