Apoel fan poses as reporter to get a photo with Cristiano
The incident occurred when Real players were arriving at their hotel. Security staff were quick to remove the interloper from the scene.
Real Madrid arrived in Nicosia at lunchtime on Monday ahead of the Champions League fixture against Cypriot champions Apoel and made for the Hilton Cyprus, where the team is staying.
A throng of fans awaited the players outside the hotel and one decided to try and get a photograph with Cristiano Ronaldo by posing as a journalist. After gaining access to the area reserved for media representatives, he then approached the Portuguese with phone in hand but was swiftly brought to book by security staff.
Ronaldo's Getafe fan
It was the second time this season that Ronaldo has been the subject of a fan’s over-exuberance. During the league match against Getafe last month a young lad was able to gain access to the Coliseum by jumping over a wall and then got onto the pitch where he exchanged a few words with Ronaldo, dressed in Real Madrid kit and wearing the Portuguese’s number on his back, before being led off the turf by stewards.
