Valencia want Sandro as Everton consider loan option
One of the supposed top summer signings has struggled to adapt to the Premier League with Valencia keeping an eye on the situation.
Sandro Ramírez was one of the most sought-after strikers last summer after a year with Málaga to remember. He scored 16 goals in 31 games for the Andalusian side and moved to Everton with Atlético Madrid chasing the player too.
The 22-year-old has seen his playing time limited, however, and hasn't taken advantage of the minutes he has been given with his adaptation to English soccer taking longer than expected. Everton have struggled as a whole with Ronald Koeman getting the sack and David Unsworth soon to be replaced by Sam Allardyce too but it seems Sandro might not get the chance to turn his fortunes around at the club if he can't convince the incumbent manager in the next couple of weeks, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
He has scored just once in the Europa League in 13 games and Everton could be willing to let him leave in January until the end of the season. And this is where Valencia come into the story. Marcelino's side are challenging Barcelona for the title and could be looking to invest in their squad to make sure they have the depth to compete until May with their Catalan rivals.
The former Barcelona player has a contract until 2021 and Allardyce will be appraising his squad for the next month with a particularly keen eye on Sandro to see if he has what Everton need in what has become a battle against relegation.
