Real Madrid have made contact with the agent of Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne in an attempt to lure the Belgian to the Bernabéu, according to Manchester City news outlet City Watch.

The report suggests the agent, Patrick de Koster, was contacted by the Spanish giants as they put together plans to revitalise their squad following a poor start to their season. They have issues in various areas of their squad despite spending big on younger prospects in the summer as they look to address the quality of their squad.

De Bruyne, however, is convinced that Manchester City is where he belongs and will sign a new contract at the club in the coming months; his current deal expires in 2021. David Silva just renewed his deal with the Premier League side and says the club are in a great position to win titles for many years under Pep Guardiola.

De Bruyne, who continues to haunt Chelsea for selling him, has emerged as one of the best attacking midfielders in the world and is at the centre of the free-flowing football Guardiola is dishing up for fans on a weekly basis. He has five goals and 10 assists in 20 games this season as Man City look to be running away with the Premier League and are a good shout for the Champions League too.
