Simeone: "Our best player, Griezmann, back to his best"
The Atlético Madrid manager says the partnership between Griezmann and Gameiro has helped his number 7 to feel more comfortable and get back to his best.
Diego Simeone's Atlético Madrid welcome Real Sociedad to the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday looking to build on their recent success in front of goal.
Griezmann: "He is much better, much more immersed in the football we have gotten used to. He has gotten better and he needs a reference point. He did well with Torres, with Gameiro and we hope to find the best partnerships between our forwards that can make him feel most comfortable."
Have Atlético recovered their best form? "It happens when the intensity grows and you force it a little bit. From the start, the work has been good but the presence of Gameiro in the last few games has given us directness and precision in attack. It coincides with the best moment of our best player and that's Griezmann. With them on the fied, we have the chance to improve. The defensive work has always been there.
