Zinedine Zidane, coach of Real Madrid, spoke after the goalless draw against Athletic Club at the Estadio San Mamés on Saturday night. The French coach was satisfied with the performance of his players but lamented, once again, the lack of goals.

Zidane happy and disappointed

"I'm very happy about the game and very disappointed not to have scored," he said clarifying that he was mostly disappointed for the players. "It was a difficult game and they have given everything.

"We deserved more today and in the end we did not manage a goal that could have given us the three points."

No worries about lack of goals

When asked about being worried about the lack of goals Los Blancos' manager responded firmly: "I'm not worried," and repeated that both he and the players were just very disappointed, but certainly not worried.

"We have to think positively, that playing in this way the goal will come. I remember last year when we were scoring the goal right at the death of games and now we are not doing this. We have to continue and believe that there are going to be better moments in terms of scoring goals."

Ramos angry about red card

Zidane spoke about the incident that took place near the end of the match, when Sergio Ramos picked up a second yellow card and was given his marching orders. When asked if his player was angry:

"Yes, he is not happy because he thinks it was not worthy of a card. But that's how it is. We can not change it now."

Eight points behind Barça

A question was put to the Madrid manager about the difference between his side and the current LaLiga leaders, Barcelona. Zidane stated that it was simply a question of not taking their chances.

"Today, if we score a goal, we cut the points. Yes, sure. We can play worse, and we have, but today and against Atlético [another draw] we deserved much more. With a goal we have four more points and things are different."
