Both Arsenal players Mesut Özil and Alexis Sánchez have yet to renew their contracts with the North London club with their current deals expiring on June 30, 2018.
According to UK outlets, Arsene Wenger is still in the process of trying to convince the German international that his future lies with the Gunners after Ozil turned down the last offer which would have seen the player earn a salary of 267,000 euro per week, equating to an annual earnings of 13,8 million euro per season. The German player is hoping to scoop an annual salary of 17,8 million euro per year.

Candidates
Barcelona are one of the club's pursuing the players signature but the German is not the number one priority with Liverpool's Phillipe Coutinho and Germio's Arthur higher in the pecking order.
The more probable destination at present for Ozil is a move to Old Trafford which would see him reunite with former Real Madrid boss José Mourinho with a good relationship between player and manager from their time together at the Bernabeu. In the meantime Arsenal will continue look at options to retain their player.
