Steven N'Zonzi has decided his time at Sevilla has come full circle and could leave the club in next month's transfer window. In England, the Daily Mail picked up on a report in El Gol who claim that Arsenal are hoping to reach an agreement with the Andalucians to take the player in January but without forking out his retention fee, which is 40 million euros - five of which would go to the player under the terms of his contract.

N'Zonzi close to Premier League return

Arsenal would pay Sevilla 37 million euros plus a further three in add-ons. The reports state that the Gunners have yet to reach any agreement with N'Zonzi but they are expecting to encounter any problems as his son is in England and the midfielder wants to be closer to him. N'Zonzi knows the Premier League well after enjoying stints with Blackburn and Stoke

With the money they receive from selling N'Zonzi, Sevilla will attempt to bring in another defensive midfielder, a central defender and possibly a centre-forward in the next transfer window. The club is also looking for a right-back as Sébastien Corchia hasn't convinced Eduardo Berizzo while Gabriel Mercado's qualities as a wing-back are limited.
