57th Club World Cup final. Europe lead the historical stakes with 30 titles to South America’s 26. Saturday’s game will be the 14th final since the Club World Cup was inaugurated, with the previous 43 being played in the one-game Intercontinental Cup format. European sides have won nine of the last 10 finals.

Real’s 11 consecutive international titles. Madrid have not lost an international final since being beaten by Boca Juniors in the 2000 Intercontinental Cup. Since then they have won four Champions Leagues, four European Super Cups, the Intercontinental Cup once and the Club World Cup twice.

Consecutive titles. Boca were the last side to play two consecutive finals (2000 and 2001) while São Paulo were the last team to win the tournament twice in a row, in 1992 and 1993. Madrid are the first side to reach the Club World Cup final in consecutive years in its current format.
